(5.9cm tall) Here is a moon mountain nature spirit kodama forest kami who is awake at sunrise to wish the stars safely off to bed under a gentle crescent moon. It wants to help bring the peace and magic of that time between night and dawn to us all.
It has been fired once, glazed, and raku fired. But unlike my normal pieces, this one never saw fire. It was just removed from the kiln at 1000° and left to cool naturally so as to preserve the star-like glaze disturbance marks on its head.
Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, and gentleness into the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with only natural materials.
