what we do with your information

Drifting Spirits will be what is known as the “Controller” of the personal data you provide to us. When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we will have access to your name, order information, e-mail address, and physical address. We keep your physical address only long enough to send you your parcel. We retain the aspects of your order necessary for us to complete our tax declarations, but we do not retain (or submit) any of your personal information. We will carefully guard your name and e-mail address for up to two years. They will be stored securely on one computer only. If do not want your name and e-mail address to be retained, please contact us. (We probably won’t use said name and e-mail address at all. If we do, it will be exclusively to send you desperately exciting news / updates. If this happens twice in one year, we will be astonished.)

Drifting Spirits installs on your device only those cookies that are essential for the running of this website. We do not use Google Analytics or any other marketing or analytics services. We do not track you or collect information on your usage statistics.

When you provide us with personal information to create an account, place an order, arrange for a delivery, or return a purchase, you give us your expressed consent to collect and use your personal information for the purposes for which you shared your information. If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may at any time withdraw your consent for us to contact you, and for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information on your account page by using our contact form.

We will disclose your personal information only to any courier required for the delivery of your order and if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

We use a third party payment processor(s) to process payments made to us. In connection with the processing of such payments, we do not retain any personally identifiable information or any financial information such as credit card numbers.

third-party services

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies with respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.
We recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers. In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in, or have facilities that are located in, a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
As an example, if you are located in the European Union and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.
Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy.
When you click any links on our website, e.g., Instagram, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
