A cute little fox in his cute little house! Here is a quiet and gentle Inari kitsune fox in his very own shrine home. This fox feels very steady and serene, full of wisdom and simplicity. His shrine home is decorated to look like there is cherry blossom drifting down and across the walls from above. They would be wonderful on a kamidana or pagan altar or a nature table too. They help me to remember to slow down and breathe: not everything has to be bright or busy. Sometimes, we just need quite, simple peace.

The house shrine is 5.6cm tall and 7.2cm deep, and the fox is 3.4cm tall and 6.7cm long. They are both made of stoneware, glazed in non-toxic glaze, and raku fired for the beautiful effects of flame and smoke.

Kitsune are the fox-messengers of the Shinto kami Inari Okami: the deity of rice, sake, agriculture, fertility, tea, and prosperity, among other things, kitsune foxes guard Inari shrines and carry his/her messages to us.

Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, gentleness, and spirit to the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with natural materials.
