(2.6cm tall by 7.4 cm long) This gentle little calico cat kami spirit sculpture feels calm and peaceful but also like it has bright orange fire inside and can do what it needs to do, when it needs to do it. I think it can be a reminder of the important of balancing action with rest, and giving your own fire time to rekindle.
This cat kami is made from stoneware clay and has been fired once, glazed, and then raku fired for the amazing gifts of smoke and flame.
Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, gentleness, and spirit to the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with natural materials.
