(1.7 cm tall) Here is a very happy little pocket Shinto Jizo statue to be a friend when you need one. He feels gentle and accepting and like he can help us to weather any storms we might encounter during our days. He would be lovely for a kamidana or shrine.
This little Jizo sculpture has been fired once, glazed in non-toxic glaze, and then raku fired with natural wood shavings for the amazing gifts of smoke and flame.
Jizo is a Japanese Shinto spirit, a kami who found his way to Japan through Buddhism. He is a guardian of women, children, and travellers; he comforts us through grief and bereavement.
Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, and gentleness into the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with only non-toxic material.
(I am happy to combine postage on all items. Please either message me before you order and I can create a custom listing, or just order and I'll refund any excess postage fees. Thank you!)
