Here is another magical and very sweet moon-gazing Shinto Inari Okami kitsune fox sculpture. He feels so gentle, grateful, and full of joy to be outside in the moonlight, like that's all he really needs. He's 4.9cm tall.
He's made from stoneware clay and has been fired once, glazed, and then raku fired for the amazing gifts of smoke and flame.
Kitsune are the fox-messengers of the Shinto kami Inari Okami: the deity of rice, sake, agriculture, fertility, tea, and prosperity, among other things, kitsune foxes guard Inari shrines and carry his/her messages to us.
Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, gentleness, and spirit to the world.
