(4.0cm tall, wingspan 7.9cm) Here is a little kami nature spirit statue of night, of clouds passing over the moon, and of the colours of dusk. He is full of the magic of planets and stars, quiet darkness, and the world that exists while the sun is visiting far-off places. The time when nature is freer and most of the humans are asleep (so causing less trouble!). He feels innocent but powerful, beautiful in his simplicity and the serenity of night.
He has been fired once, glazed, and then raku fired with natural wood shavings for the amazing effects of smoke and flame.
Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, and gentleness into the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with natural materials.
