(8.3cm tall) This lovely, gentle little fox kami is one of those who just sort of appeared in the clay and then (quietly, in his case) told me how to proceed. I'm not entirely sure how to describe him: I keep thinking of the word shaman, so maybe that's what he is, but he's also a peaceful, shy little soul who just wants to stay close to home and his forest.
He has been fired once, glazed, and then raku fired with natural wood shavings for the amazing effects of smoke and flame.
Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, and gentleness into the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with only natural materials.
